DHT (Dihydrotestosterone)
DHT is a hormone converted from testosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. It plays a role in male development but is also the primary driver of androgenetic (pattern) hair loss in genetically susceptible follicles, which is why DHT-blocking medications are a common treatment approach.
