Cortisol
Cortisol is a steroid hormone released by the adrenal glands in response to stress, following its own daily rhythm (highest in the morning). Chronically elevated cortisol from poor sleep or unmanaged stress is linked to reduced testosterone, impaired recovery, and worse metabolic health.
